WTB Gas Cap for 26 Cowl Tank in Good Shape

Post by Mikey1968 » Mon May 10, 2021 4:48 pm

Looking for a nice gas cap for my 26 Touring. My gas cap is missing the baffle and has seen better days.
Thanks,
Mike

Lang’s has the original style for 24-27 T’s. #2901BQ in their catalog.

It’s not original but we’ve sold a lot of these Day-nite gas gauges.

Will the day-night gauge work on a '26 cowl tank?

Wow thats a neat piece. Do you sell these? Do you have a site with your products? I think you are the same fellow I got a repop emergency lever extension from thru ebay a ways back.

Since I already threw in a shameless plug, might as well go all the way. Yes, day-nite gauge is made to fit any T tank, and can also make to custom depths, as long as they take a T threaded cap. And here is our other items

Dag nabbit, I just dropped a bit over $40 for a new cap. Only issue I can see with the gas gauge is it doesn't appear to have a vent hole.

The needle indicator shaft goes through a HOLE in the cap - it's vented !

Be careful looking for an original! Most of them have swollen, and will not fit, and many times the baffle is missing too. It is helpful to have a gas tank near by to try one on before buying, like a swap meet.
