WTB Dimmer Coil
Early 2019 non-starter Roadster needs a dimmer coil to complete the wiring. Anyone got one to sell/know where I can get one? If not, is there a relatively simple way to simply build a tapped inductor myself to look original?
A 'youngin.

Re: WTB Dimmer Coil
I saw a article a while back where they took a model T coil and modified it so in effect it became a a/c magneto voltage regulator as the engine speeds up the frequency of the Magneto increases in frequency and the coil set up keeps the voltage from any significant increase. A series resistor on the dim switch will also help control headlight voltage and keep it from burning out the bulbs at higher RPM. but coil regulator would be automatic. Good Luck.

There is a used dimmer coil on the discussion https://mtfca.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php? ... 75#p177375
It looks rough but worth a try to restore. I included some pictures indicating a how to. The wire that Lang's sells for ignition switches will work fine. You can seal your soldering with Flex Seal rubber

Re: WTB Dimmer Coil
Replacing the lead wires o the coil isn't that hard - lang's has the wire and you can use Flex Steal or silicon seal to insulate.
The wires are tucked under the windings to prevent being pulled out - make a note on the two that exit the same side.
