Mario, just in case you didn't know: welding supply houses will not fill or refill a tank with a gauge on the bottom. If you plan on laying the tank on it's side it must have an offset outlet valve, not a centered one.

It took me a few tries visiting local supply house but I found one like the one I described. Stripped it, painted it silver and, got a decal from Restoration Supply. It looks and works great. I can send pics if you want. Actually, it looks like the one posted above by Quickm007.

This is my tank setup on my 1914 T. I swapped a 20# CO2 for it at a local gas distributor. I called first and asked if they had any offset tanks and the guy I was talking to didn’t have a clue what I was talking about. I showed him a photo on my phone when I got there and he recognized what I was looking for and hooked me up. It was full and ready to go for around $25.00 with the empty exchange. I picked up the brackets at the Luray swap meet for $90.00. I cleaned up the tank and painted it with cast blast spray paint. It does not have the gauge on the bottom and I agree that those with a gauge cannot be filled. It’s hard to see but I also use a Prest-O-Lite regulator that I bought from Layton Butler.

Mario,I have an early regulator for one of those small bottles. PM me if interested. Just for information sake,I also have an early Prestolite script air bottle about that size. I guess they put high air pressure in them to air tires on the road in the old days.

Mario-
How do you plan to use the MC tank? On your '14? I had an MC tank mounted under the floorboards of my 1911 touring before I got my Prest-O-Lite B tank mounted on my special bracket on the running board.

The MC tank does not have the capacity to run acetylene headlamps at a constant rate. It is okay for a static display of the working of the headlamps, but to run them safely for extended periods of time, you will need a B tank or an E tank. As others previously stated, welding shops will not fill a tank with a gauge on the bottom.
