Keith, I really don’t know. I’ve had every Holley from 1912-26 and every Kingston from 13-26 on mine and they all fit fine. They started the short arms about the time they switched to the center drain. It took a while for them to change the casting as well, eliminating an extra drilling and plugging of one hole for the air bleed that comes out under the ID tag. At first they just put two slots at the bottom to allow the gas to drain in the center. Maybe it was to save a minuscule amount of material while they were also simplifying their production of the bodies.
