Hey Corey:I can't believe that this carb has not sold. I just did a quick check of parts and labor required to be able to offer a carb of this quality from a very reputable builder, and here's what I found: The cheapest (appears to be complete) core on ebay currently is $39.00, and from Langs, a needle/seat is $17.00, a reproduction float is $22.00, a spray nozzle is $20.00, a drain/tap is $19.00 and a throttle shaft is $27.00, plus gaskets, springs etc. so with shipping we're well over $165.00 and haven't started any labor, ultrasonic cleaning, glass beading, or painting and of course testing. If another $10.00 covers all this then you still can't break even as this is not counting wear and tear on your equipment and paying yourself at least 5 cents/hour or less. Lang's price is $220.00, and only IF you have a COMPLETE core (plus the shipping). Go figure.

Bruce, youre right about the expense of ad lol those parts and I’ve found that it’s difficult to replace every part and even expect to sell an NH and break even on the cost unless you want to sit on it for a long time. That’s why I always list what I’ve done to it instead of advertising as “rebuilt” as if every part is new.
I try to always keep the price the same. I’ve got tested floats and I save all the perfect or near perfect drain assemblies and binding nuts, I sharpen the spray needin as long as they are straight because nothing else could go wrong with them. I always disassemble and clean them and replace the needle and seat, spray nozzle, choke spring and name tag. If one needs a new float it might get a used drain assembly or if one needs a new drain assembly then it would get a tested float. If I shuffle all that around I can keep the price consistent. Sometimes I might do pretty good and sometimes I might barely make anything but it keeps people driving anyway. The price of cores on eBay are going up it seems but when you add the shipping it really gets up there.

Totally agree Corey. It near impossible to find complete cores now as most ebay sellers have no idea what a complete core looks like and some even resort to buzz words like "Kingston straight through HN type". Good for a laugh anyway.
