WTB: Complete Speedster Body Kit
Getting ready to pull the trigger on a complete speedster body kit sold from one of the major suppliers in the $5,300 price range, plus shipping. Rootlieb is in CA, Langs is in MA and I am in GA, so not looking forward to that shipping freight number. So checking here to see if, perhaps, someone has given up on a project and might have something that would make a road trip to pick up worth while.
I've got a 1920 roadster project that the running ger and chassis have been restored, but the body parts are toasty and the commander in chief says she could live with a speedster, so easier on me but more painful to the wallet.
If you have anything or some direction for this project, I take advice very easily. Thanks in advance.

Why do we drive on parkways and park on driveways?
A bunch of old cars
Sometimes they run.
Sometimes, they don't.

Re: WTB: Complete Speedster Body Kit
Hi, Ray Well did my 1911 Touring and I am really please with his work. He's in California. I'm sure it is easy for him doing speedster as well.

Tom Butterworth who is a poster here used to live in Michigan is the builder of what I would consider one of the best speedster bodies around. He now is in Florida. Try contacting him here for speedster advice. I have two of his and couldn’t be happier.

Re: WTB: Complete Speedster Body Kit
There are two ways to go with a speedster: what I call the "stutz" look or the "racer" look. Depending on what you have and your skill set either one can be a DIY.signsup wrote: ↑Thu Nov 25, 2021 10:36 amGetting ready to pull the trigger on a complete speedster body kit sold from one of the major suppliers in the $5,300 price range, plus shipping. "Stutz" look is what the vendors are selling. should be easy to replicate. Wour fenders or I believe member Hank Lee in Tennessee, still has a set of speedster fenders up for sale. The rest is plywood.... and you can DIY. Tom had sent me some info about his design "racer" look - have other pictures Seats can be made or purchased ($$ is in the upholstery). If you have seats they can be used all depends on your vision
Speedway Motors has some variations and ships free https://www.speedwaymotors.com/shop/sea ... -199-14108 --

Just like the body Tom build for my son. I trimmed ours in aluminum and painted it body color. Ours is on a 15 chassis and has car production fenders on it. I have a trunk and a 11 torpedo tank.

Check out Hanks Fenders he is only 3 hrs away from Winston GA, he's South Pittsburg TN. He likely has many other things that you'd be interested in as well! Trust me - I have a few of themsignsup wrote: ↑Thu Nov 25, 2021 10:36 amGetting ready to pull the trigger on a complete speedster body kit sold from one of the major suppliers in the $5,300 price range, plus shipping. Here you are:

Had every intention to finish, however my plans changed. To finish you would need front torpedo style curved fenders (to match the rears which are included), your choose of seat(s) and gas tank. Everything else is there including wiring harness, aprons, short steps, new torpedo long hood, steering column, monocle, etc etc.
