I have one, I will have to get to it and make sure it’s a high one.

The high one (wiring hole above the terminal block) is 24-25. The low one (no hole) is 23 only.
The inevitable often happens.

You should be more specific! Even though any high firewall will work, 1925's are different.

This is one I have. Light surface rust and the hole above the wire block as Steve stated.

As Larry stated the '25 is different in a couple areas most notably the 2 rivet patent plate - I see 4 holding that one.

Trying to learn.... I found an old thread where you observed several different variations of the high firewall. http://www.mtfca.com/discus/messages/41 ... 1399845339Original Smith wrote: ↑Fri Dec 03, 2021 9:51 amYou should be more specific! From reading the responses its difficult to understand what changes would be on the same firewall. Would help to more specific to help us grade school T students understand better. I have a high '25 but with a pressed steel stay rod (need to look again). Note: in some discussions ambiguities occur. For example in the attached link I'm not sure if referencing changes are to both, low or high '25 firewall based on the sequence of responses.

I've seen at least four different styles of high firewalls. The differences are trivial, but they are there.

Larry,Did the 25 firewall still have the holes where the priming bell crank went?
By Larry Smith on Friday, May 09, 2014 - 10:08 pm:
They did. Also the '25 firewall has 3 holes for the felt. The 1924's had 5.

Also the high firewalls had a riveted bracket to hold the bonnet stay rod. The later ones it was pressed out of the metal and stamped in one piece. Over here the riveted design is the 1923-24 models with the 1925 the one piece stamped design.
So the picture is of a '25 high firewall with the 3 holes for the felt
Lastly, how do these '25 firewall differences relate to models or relative production dates (I see now id plate rivets as another subtle change) or does it matter?
The past is a great place and I don't want to erase it or to regret it, but I don't want to be its prisoner either.

I will take it Dave!
give me a call 352-638-2253
I wasn't to purist to the year as this is for a hack. I was just looking for a clean firewall.
I really like the education I get on this forum! Did not know there was a difference in the firewalls?
Best Regards MTFCA!
