NEEDED Model TT ton Spring Clamps and front Engine mount
Hello All!
In need of a pair of Front Spring Clamps and a tt front engine mount for a TT Front Spring!!!
The mount needs to have the 4 inch long threaded bolts as this is a 10 leaf spring.
IT would be nice to know the difference in thread length from year to year.
I was thinking I could used a 27 model front mount??
Thanks to all!!
Bryan

Not everyone is out. We have a few sets on the shelf (3847B). Give Dave a call at the garage (951) 735-4791.

Called Dave, he said no new ones in stock, but he would check to see if he had any used ones.Mark Chaffin wrote: ↑Thu Dec 02, 2021 6:23 pmNot everyone is out. We have a few sets on the shelf (3847B). Give Dave a call at the garage (951) 735-4791.

I think that I have a TT front engine mount. It is larger than the one on my Coupe. I sent you an email.

Here are the pictures of my mount,
As yo see it is too short by 1/2 to 3/4
I need one with a 4 inch depth.
The passenger cars are 3 1/2 form inside to tip of bolt

Re: NEEDED Model TT ton Spring Clamps and front Engine mount
A real TT front spring clamp is unique to the TTs and uses a bigger bolt size, and also a clamp plate with larger holes. The car version is not correct on a TT. Ill look tomorrow at my TT spring clamps and see if I have a good one left. I was not aware that there are longer versions. Are you sure you do not have too many springs in the spring assembly???

Donnie, The TT mount has longer studs and they are 5/8" diameter as apposed to 9/16" on T's. Here are a couple of pictures comparing a TT mount to a T mount.

Re: NEEDED Model TT ton Spring Clamps and front Engine mount
Thanks Scott. I knew the bolt size and hole size was different, but I never measured them to compare to a car spring clamp. Glad you had one for him. Most of mine are getting pretty sad as to condition.
