For Sale: Brass Timer commutators/rollers

Post by Retro54 » Sun Dec 26, 2021 1:48 pm

For Sale, $35 (Shipped) per roller, are five timer rollers / commutators for a Ford Timer. There is no FORD script anywhere on the castings. These brass rollers are likely from pre-1920 as I understand it, around 1920 Ford timers transitioned to a stamped steel roller in lieu of the cast brass one. While I believe it to be Pre-1920, I will let you be the expert as to what timer types or years this will fit, as anyone who is into Model T's knows, Ford changed their parts constantly during production, and information relating to the timer roller seems to be few and far between.

These particular roller/commutators are essentially identical with minor differences between a few of the castings. The spring and arm work and rotate as they should and the roller spins when 'thumbed' but does not free-wheel loosely once spun. Some rollers are stiffer than others and likely could benefit from some lubrication The body/barrel of the timer and arm are cast & machined brass. While I think these are reproductions due to the lack of Ford script, I am only going off the limited information I have been able to gather. You are the expert, I am only selling this part which I have and describing it to the best of my ability and knowledge.

What you see is what you get. I did number them in the first picture, so if you would like to purchase one, please let me know which one you would like. $35 per roller (shipped). Payable via PayPal. Rollers will be shipped via USPS small flat rate box anywhere in the continental USA. I will cut you a deal on shipping if you purchase more than one (The flat rate box costs me $8.95 to ship). send me an e-mail at "arb two two five at comcast.net" if you would like one. First come, first serve.

Hey, why not... another bump. I have Brass Ford Script ones as well if anyone would prefer those.

I'm quite sure that 3,4 & 5 are Milwaukee brand rollers.
