U&J Carburetor/manifold

Post by Bruce Compton » Mon May 23, 2022 3:26 pm

Restored, tested, and guaranteed U&J carb and correct H-1 aluminum manifold. This set-up really works well (Stan was right), tons of power and a smooth idle. I test-ran it for 3 weeks on my '26 and have sold the car so the carb is available . I'll also include the linkage that was set up for an accessory foot-feed/hand throttle combo. The main body was machined to correctly accept a Holley G bowl and gasket. Asking $850.00 including shipping (Continental USA and Canada).

Have not heard from Stephen since May 23. Hope he is OK, but I need to know if he still wants the U&J set-up. Bruce

I've sent an email, a PM, and phoned him (no answer). I think that 3 weeks is almost enough time to wait for a response. Maybe 2-3 more days and that should do.

Hi Bruce,
I have a 1925 Speedster and am very interested in this U&J Carb/manifold. Please let me know where to send the check to.
I am new to MTFCA, hopefully I have responded correctly where you will see this.
Thank you,
Bill Weiskopf

I hear ya Scott. Maybe it's an omen and I should hang on to it. Right now I'm out of T's and with my medical issues may have to keep it that way.......but you never know..... BTW, the late Stan Howe certainly was right as the U&J set-up out-performs every other make that I have tried including (in order of top speed ) Rayfield, Wheeler-Schebler, Stromberg RF, Stromberg OF, Simmons, and Holley straight through.
