Brass goodies

Post by Craig Leach » Tue Sep 06, 2022 10:29 am

Hi Guys,
I picked up a cookie tin full of brass parts and I'm dumber than a sack of hammers when it comes to this early stuff. So I'm not sure what I have.
As I understand ford had more than one company making bodies in 09 & 10 and parts didn't always come with Ford script on them.
None of these have Ford script. They maybe repop as I see most of them are now days. There is a pair of door hinges that look like 09-10 pre T-5297x
A set of fire wall to windshield brackets T-7833 09-11. what look like T-7818/19B 09-12 windshield hinges. A pair of 3661 09-10 door handles ( do not have the latches but do have the striker plates ) for 5677X. A pair of Top socket to body brackets that look like 09-10 touring 3800F? They all cleaned up and will polish very nice. I would like help making positive I.D. of these parts & some idea of what they are worth. I don't see me getting a early T on my retirement budget.
Thanks in advance.
Craig.

Craig,
On the windshield hinges are there any markings?
Rands or Pat Applied for? If so, I’ve seen original Rands hinges go for about the $100 mark

On the dash to windshield brackets, originals would be steel and brass plated. The repos are just all brass. Originals are about 4 1/2” long and about 1” wide. The repos I’ve seen are shorter. If they are brass plated, I’d be interested in them.

Hi Mike,
I can't find any markings on any of these parts. The W/S brackets are solid brass ( not magnetic ) The limited amount of wear on these parts may indicate they are repops

Hi Everyone,
In a time when Head gaskets are $165, fat man steering wheels are $600 & used Hyatt bearings are $75. I would like to get a fair price for what I have
without breaking someone's budget. Would it be to much to ask all of you to email or call?
Thank you.
Craig.
