Splitdorf Ford Special Magneto (SOLD)
Here is an original Splitdorf Ford Special magneto. It was made especially for the Model T Ford in 1914 or so. It was designed to be paired with a Splitdorf front plate magneto drive or coupled with similar front plate units. It is counter clockwise CCW rotation. It is in clean condition, but will need to be rebuilt and the small spring loaded carbon brushes in cap replaced, and magnets possibly recharged. Spins fine and is clean inside. It is complete with points. This is a very rare magneto, seldom seen. Uses Splitdorf EU4-2 replacement parts. 400 plus shipping lower 48.

Pretty sure this mag is for use with the seldom seen chain drive Bosch bracket that mounts on the front left side of the engine.
