Rick
Please refrain from calling all reproduction parts “Chinese Junk”. Both items you are referring to have been Made in the USA. The switch plate mounting bracket was produced by John Regan of Fun Projects. He would research the item at the Henry Ford Research Center ( pull the drawings ) and make his parts to the Ford drawing. His products were of the highest quality which he stood behind 100%. All of the reproduction distributors had been made here in the states by a number of different people. Both items are no longer readily available.

Re: Excellent Surplus Parts For Sale
Hi Don,
Oops, I stand corrected and my apologies Sir! It was not my intention to tromp on anyone's toes for sure!
I have been restoring cars for over 45 years and unfortunately have come across many Chinese made reproduction parts over the years that almost fit. Going forward I will leave the Far East comments out. Have a great day Don!
Kind Regards,
Rick Rice

Re: Excellent Surplus Parts For Sale
Hello Sir,
Unfortunately, the truth is I must say I sold it to "that guy". I even threw an extra ignition switch in the box for free as a courtesy, then paid extra money on my dime so the buyer received it faster.
That's (2) good original functioning ignition switches, along with a nice original functioning amp gauge for $48.00 including USPS Priority shipping from Tennessee to the buyer's P.O. box in New York.
In return, I ended up getting some free guff from the unappreciative buyer because he "had not received it yet". After getting chewed on, I tracked the shipment and found out it had been sitting in his Post Office for four days (arrived the week prior), waiting to be picked up. After I messaged him back to let him know, I never heard another word back. The old saying is no good deed ever goes unpunished, but I keep trying.
To end on a positive note, the good news is the other dozen guys I sold to were fun to deal with, appreciated the way I delt with them, we all happy... and I made some new friends.
Kind Regards,
Rick Rice
Kind Regards,
Rick Rice

Re: Excellent Surplus Parts For Sale
Rick Rice, You were the one that created the Issue by not providing a TRACKING NUMBER as a matter of doing business & requested. You also called out the Shipping charges after you were informed of my 33834-winter zip code. Yes you can fault me for not providing an address here in Florida. I waited a short period of time w/o hearing from you and did not realize I had not, something you could have ask for. If you want the difference in the shipping I can send you a Postal MO.
FROM March 12th. EMAIL SENT TO ME. George, I am very surprised you weren't reaching out to thank Me! For the record:
* I threw in an extra ignition switch to surprise you for FREE, so I provided you with twice the amount of parts you paid for as a courtesy.
* I charged you $8.00 for flat rate first class snail Mail, then ended up spending over 50% extra money on my dime and sent it out via USPS PRIORITY MAIL TO:
PO BOX 153
PREBLE, NY 13141
TRACKING NUMBER:
9505 5133 6851 3065 2645 33
I just tracked the shipment. According to the USPS tracking site, your package "arrived at Preble, NY 13141 @ 10:45 AM on Thursday, 3-9-2023 and is ready for pick up". Maybe try going to your Post Office and checking.
Incidentally, you provided zero shipping instructions, just your check in the envelope for $48.00 and no note, so I sent the switches to the hand written Preble, NY return address on your envelope that is mentioned above.
Please respond back and let me know the status. END OF EMAIL
I dropped the Ball on some of this but my defense still revolves about communication with the lack of information.

A bit of humor, two old Southern expressions come to mind...
* He'd complain if you hung him with a new rope.
* He'd gripe with a ham under each arm.
