The top one is for AC setup and bottom one looks to be for Stewart. Because we cannot click on the images for bigger view, maybe more information would be in order esp on the No 2.

The second gear is a reproduction Stewart gear. It appears to be a cast gear, not a machined steel one as there are no holes drilled in the gear for mounting. I hope this helps, Russ Furstnow

Also, the first top gear, which is an AC is for wooden wheels only. A different gear, made exactly the same except a fourth tab and mounting hole were added, was used with wire wheels.
