Learned something new today, evidently there is a longer than the normal rear spring clamp (U bolt) and I need to find a pair of the long ones for my 1927 Touring. Let me know if you have 1 or 2 your willing to part with

The first one would not be TT. The TT's were much wider with one leg being double stepped.

Every time I work on my car I learn something new.
I think I have this right so far.

The one in the middle and the one on the left are two variations of the exact same thing. Either one will work fine for you. The measurement from the inside top (part that goes against the top of the crossmember) to the cotter pin hole is the only measurement that matters.
I’ve got a spare pair of 9 leaf clamps I’d sell. $100 for the pair. Email if interested.

The one on the left does not work, the threaded portion is not long enough, where is steps from threaded to flat it hits the out turned lip on the cross member.

That is interesting… The illustration of 3833 & 3833b is from a ‘29 parts book, so should be the latest (most recent) variation of that part. I was going to try mine in a late crossmember, but didn’t because it is an exact match to the illustration.
So apparently, the one you have that is long enough for a 9 leaf spring but that will not fit a ‘26-‘27 crossmember IS A ‘22-‘25 SPRING CLIP FOR NINE LEAF SPRING. The one you are looking for may be specific for ‘26-‘27 nine leaf springs, but would also fit any T with nine leaf springs.
Evidently the factory number never changed, but they must have changed the forging dimensions when the new crossmember began and never updated the parts book illustration.
