Not at all, check the classifieds or contact Glen or Mark Chaffin at Chaffin's garage. :)

By the way, IMO there's no such thing as a cheap Ruckstell. Any money you may think you save on the initial purchase will be offset by the cost and labor of replacing worn out parts.

Good quality rebuilt Ruckstell axles are out there but they are generally pricey depending upon the extent of the rebuild. Original in rebuilt Ruckstell axles almost always need parts, often exceeding $1000 between the drive shaft, pinion, shift lock, axles, internals, and then of course it takes time and knowledge to get the work done right. Thank goodness Chaffins and others make good replacement parts.

I have nothing to do with this ad
Model T Ford Classifieds on facebook.
Rob Reif · 45m ·
Selling a complete Ruckstell differential, with the shifter assembly, for a Ford Model T. I also have an assortment of parts that can be used to build up a second Ruckstell.
The complete assembly, in the attached photo, was under my 26 Roadster and is in excellent condition. Thrust washers, gaskets and new bearings should be all that's needed.
Most if the parts on the 2nd photo are in decent condition and could be used to build up a second Ruckstell.
I prefer to sell the entire lot, which is a great deal for someone willing build two and sell one.
$1750 for both, pretty good deal

Hi Bill,
I know this will never happen again, 5 years ago I picked up a Ruckstell, engine & frame at a metal recycling place on a tip from a friend for
$350 the engine was seazed but the Trans. yeilded many good parts. The Ruckstell was in impecable condition and was up & running for a
total of $500. And still had a good Trans. that went in another engine set up. I concider this a 1 in a 1000 deal but now I have know idea why
I didnt have one before.
Craig.

That’s a real deal, it is a small drum style & has the long nose shifter plus less than 2 hours from you. Let us know if you decide to get it. I might have to if you don’t. Best John
