FS 1924 Project Car/Parts

Post by farmergrey » Fri May 10, 2019 7:24 pm

For sale an assemblage of mostly 1924 parts that can be made into the project of your choice. The plan of the man I bought them from in 1965, then 1/2 a car plus parts, was to make a roadser. I put a plywood flatbed on the back half and drove it around on the farm for fun and chores for a while. It was eventually completelly disassembled and stored in a barn about 1970 when my life got busy with marriage, kids, and overseas assignments. The barn started collapsing recently so I decided to dig it out and sell it so somebody else could have some fun with it. Buy it now for $1500 or make me an offer. Location is Rockaway Township NJ. List of parts and photos follow:
1. Bare frame with emergency brake lever and part of floorboard. Spare tire rack has been cut off the back but a replacement is included with the parts.
2. Complete front end with axle, spring, and 2 wheels with rims.
3. Complete rear end with spring, and 2 wheels with rims. One wheel needs some new spokes.
4. Gas tank in good shape.
5. Front cowl with dashboard, ignition panel with key, choke rod, steering column. Steering wheel needs new rim.
6. Engine hood in good shape.
7. Two front fenders with some rust thru at hood juncture.
8.Two rear fenders with some denting.
9. Sheet metal: 2 rear quarter panels, 1 rear panel, and differential cover panel. Look like from touring car.
10. Two touring car or roadster doors in good shape.
11.Two side aprons in good shape.
12. High radiator needs leak testing and repair.
13. Radiator shell.
14.Two hood hold down strips with hooks.
15. Engine #1042730 complete with generator, starter, and fan but no carburetor. Last run about 1970. Doesn't turn. Needs overhaul.
16. Seat frames and springs but upholstery missing or no good.
17. Convertible top bows and hardware in poor condition.
18. Four ignition coils - need new points.
Having trouble with pictures. Will try puting them in a reply post.

I appreciate the interest in buying individual parts but my goal is to sell it together as a package. It was once a car and I would like to see someone make it a car again even if all I can get is a few hundred dollars. If I don't get a buyer by mid June then I will consider selling individual parts.

Charley-are you buying? I've had a bunch of 26-27 doors at Chickasha and Hershey for the past few years. Various conditions. I got anywhere from $5 - $50 each. The $50 ones were nice.
