Wanted, Brass Windshield Wingnut, 1926 Touring

I caught movement out of the corner of my eye and heard it hit the running board, but before it all clicked, we were well down the road. A few trips back and forth didn't turn it up, so short of a metal detector and a wing and a prayer it was gone!

Being a week before the reunion at Richmond, I thought, no big deal, there'll be one there, wrong! Does anyone have a single nut they'd sell? The only thing available new are chromed, we'll go that route if we have to but wild rather stick with the old brass.

Thanks,

Keith

Keith - I have an OEM wing nut with most of its nickel plating intact (and the thin washer that goes under it), I sent you an email via the forum. :)

The OEM wing nuts were nickel plated brass, maybe the nickel has worn off yours. Caswell makes a home nickel plating kit that works well. :)

Hi Keith.

Here's what I have. The right two are a pair. The others have very minor differences. And, obviously, three of them are kind of hinky. All of them are brass with 3/8-24 threads. Sorry the pics aren't better. If any of them will work for you give me a holler. I'm on pacific daylight/mountain standard time. Just cover the shipping.

Thanks Guys, I did get both your emails. We just got back from town and put her away, I will look at the others in the AM, I think they all have a little bend in the wings. The other 3 have no knickel left on them, brass with patina.
