Re: 4 Model T wire wheels FS
With a circumference of 72.5” it appears the diameter is 23” which is correct for 3 1/2x30 tires. I suppose they are clincher rims so would fit a commonly available tire. The advert indicates they bolt onto T hubs, I suppose that means wood wheel hubs as they have six mounting holes. That would make them very similar to the modern McClaren hubs. However the McC hubs are a snug on the hub, I wonder how snug these are on regular T hubs?

Re: 4 Model T wire wheels FS
The full support ring around the drive lug holes makes these Hayes brand wheels, looks like #4 centers and 23” clincher rims. Not exactly a direct bolt on for a T, but would work if the hubs could be found/made. There was a fella here on the forum years ago that advertised that he was making new hubs for these wheels to fit a T... don’t know if he ever finished the project tho

Re: 4 Model T wire wheels FS
A Warning about the use of this type wheel. I am not trying to be a smarty & am not an expert in the field, but as I understand it this type of wheel was designed to be supported at the outer hub (with the center lock cap) as well as the inside! If they are used as someone modified them they will put all the strain only to the inside of the hub & thus can be dangerous to use because the wheel can fail causing dangerous results! Wheels that ARE DESIGHNED to be used this way are made different and are thus safe. This is my understanding of wire wheel construction & design? Thanks John

Re: 4 Model T wire wheels FS
Hi To All From Iowa! I tried to get hubs from Alex a long time ago & he evidently decided to give up the project after he finished his set? He did kindly offer to help me if I decided to build my own. There was someone in CA that made excellent new caps years ago as I have 2 sets that came from Ut on 2 of my cars. I have never been able to track the person down because I have some extra hubs. but not caps! Thanks John
