Here is a nice group of early HCCA Gazettes.

Included:

-Complete 1954 Issues 1 through 6
-Complete 1969 Issues 1 through 6

-Singles: 1948 #3, 1950 #1, 1953 #4, 1954 #2, 1977 #6

These are great, early HCCA issues that are super fun to collect and read.

Some of those should be when Ward Kimball was helping produce them. Same Ward Kimball of Disney fame. Those were good magazines.

Yes, many of these have the cartoons called "Asinine Alley" by Ward Kimball. I remember going to Ward Kimball's place with his railroad (yes, a real railroad) called "Grizzly Flats" in the LA area when I was a young kid.

I'll throw in a San Francisco Examiner August 1912 Automobile Section. Eight pages, about 22" by 17", in rough condition, but has lots of great articles and advertisements from car companies.

Many of the old HCCA front cover illustrations were done by Ben Sharpsteen who was also a Disney employee. Many of Ben's illustrations were inspired by tours and scenes around the SF Bay Area and many depicted early members and members cars belonging to the Bay Area HCCA. For many years a longtime BAHCC member, Mike Roberts, printed the magazine covers. Mike was a long time friend of Bill Harrah, and if you look at any old Harrahs collection old car postcards, they were all produced by Mike Roberts Color Productions in Berkeley, Ca
Just a bit of trivia.................

Although I was a California kid during this period (I'm 57 now) but I do remember Mike Roberts in the early 1980s at HCCA events.

I also remember seeing you at the Long Beach Model T Club Swap Meet selling your Model T castings,valve covers, bearings, gears, etc. Somewhere I still have one of your Xerox catalogs!!!
