I didn't know that anyone rebuilt roller timers. Is there anything wrong with the new roller timers that the model T parts stores sell?

If you're not in a huge hurry (that's probably a big LOL) I am slowly but surely "developing" custom made TW timers but it's been slow going since I need enough commitments for the parts. Right now I need 6 more committments for the rectangular brush, and then I have to get a source to fab the brush holder (rotor) and I sorta have a possibility now. I am testing this brush on a "normal" new roller timer cover right now and so far so good. But I am also having custom made "contact rings" that go inside the cover out of Micarta as it's a harder material and should last a lot longer if not almost forever. Bottom line is I'm hoping to be able to duplicate this timer for about the same price as a roller timer, but not sure.

Have you found a seller of roller timers? Does it work well?

Snyder's Antique Auto Parts in Ohio sell them. They seem to,work well until they don't. Frequent cleaning and lubrication is recommended.
