Looking for an aftermarket head for my T to bump up the compression a little bit since there are lots of hills in my area. Looking for something fairly period correct, not set on any specific brand or model, just something to get me a bit extra power, and not one of the modern ones, unless it's a reproduction of an original. There's a Waukesha Ricardo head on EBAY right now. Kind of pricey, but they aren't reproducing them and they don't grow on trees.

Yeah, I asked for a few more pictures of that one. I would probably buy it but the pictures are really poor

Mike, I see really nothing wrong with the head. Yes, the pictures on EBAY are lacking in detail, but from what I see, if I didn't already have a Z and a Prus head, I'd probably buy it. In the past, I've had two Waukesha and one Simmons heads. I wish that I had kept all of them, but sometimes a person just needs a little extra cash.

I put a Giant Power head on my car a few years ago. What a waste of time. I maybe got a 1% improvement.

I'd love to try a Sherman SuperFire head, but I've never found one that was for sale.

Not really, no. I'm very picky about things being period correct, I'll probably be buying a Waukesha Ricardo head very soon, not the one on ebay

RadRacer, this is your thread. If the Sherman head on Facebook is what you are looking for, go for it. I did send the poster on Facebook a question about the small holes in each combustion chamber along side each sparkplug hole. This is something I have not seen before.

As much as that Sherman head would be cool, I've got my eye on a Waukesha Ricardo head that's a bit more affordable, and should be perfect for my purposes. Not trying to go crazy, just need a bit of a boost for going up hills.

I received a reply that it has already sold.

I have an AG head that I could perhaps part off. If this is something of interest, I could likely locate it within the organized Chaos within my shop and snap and send a few pictures. -Dusty

I've got a Waukesha Ricardo head that's going to be coming soon, but that AG head sounds interesting, definitely wouldn't mind seeing a few pictures. Hell, maybe I'll buy it too and see how the two compare!

My Faux-Pa ( my boo-boo ) . The head is an "AC". There has been discussion on the Forum under headings of "High Compression Head" and "Cast Iron Head". I thought to correct myself before others did.

I have an AC on my car, have ran it for years, love the looks since no one knows it is high compression.
