Looking for a decent set of roadster L top brackets to hold the top saddles. These differ from the touring brackets in that the horizontal leg is longer, about 5" in length. Please email me thru the website.

Richard, for what year Roadster? Roadster L brackets were shorter than Touring brackets. Not sure why the horizontal leg would be longer. The ones I have seen are the same horizontally as Touring cars.

The car is a 1912 roadster. Thinking back when I added the top irons to the body, its entirely possible I placed the rear irons in the wrong position. If the only difference between the roadster and touring L brackets is the
vertical length, I may try welding extensions to mine. Without knowing the metalurgy of the brackets, however, welding may not be the answer. I hope I dont have to make a set. Hoping I can find a set that works.
