Mercury bodied speedster on FB

Saw this speedster on FB. I have no connection with the seller. He’s asking 15 Gs. Located in Arnold MO

That body is the one from Texas that sold at auction a few months ago. It has now got a Fronty head. Either the owner is flipping it or he realized how much work is involved.

This is an interesting collection of parts that would take much searching to accumulate. The Mercury body by far the most difficult, 21” Buffalos, Fronty head, Whippit radiator, and that’s just what I can see from these 2 pics. 15K is steep for a pleb such as myself… but doesn’t seem too bad for the sum of the parts, if you want em!

Looks like they added lots of good bits. Can attest to the amount of work on trying to save an original body.

You could buy a Mercury at a higher price and find out it looks like this under the bondo. Good starting point for the guy who has always wanted a Mercury. This and a bucket of money and you could have this:
