SOLD - Pair of Early Reproduction Rocky Mountain Brakes for Small Drum Rear End

Here is a pair of earlier reproduction Rocky Mountain brakes for a small drum rear axle. I was going to use these on my 1924, but decided I was happy with the AC brakes that are currently on the car.

Unlike the current reproductions, these have the brake band anchor point at the rear, which gives them equal braking power going forwards or backwards. The steel drums have large outsides and small insides together as a unit, see the attached pics.

I don't have any equalizer, pedal, or other actuating parts. The brakes can be set up to be actuated by either rods or a cable, what you see is what you get.

Asking $1000.00 firm for the pair, which includes shipping. This is cheaper than the current reproductions currently available from the vendors.

If you are interested, please PM me with your name and shipping address and I will reply with payment instructions, thanks! :)

Update - the brakes have been sold to Phillip, thanks Phillip and MTFCA! :)

I got a PM asking if the actuating hardware (equalizer, pedal, rods or cable) for this specific brake design are still readily available. I doubt it, but the vendors do sell hardware for the currently available RM brakes that could be adapted with some ingenuity and work. :)

I believe those were made & sold by a fella named Sunderman back in the 60's - early 70's - pretty good copy of originals - I have a set on our '19 Centerdoor.

Wake up people. These are GREAT brakes. Will lock up the wheels in forward or reverse.
I restored a set & put em on a repo 12.

Here is a picture from the instructions showing what the original pedal clamp/bellcrank/cable/pulley linkage looks like. Again, I do not have these parts, just the brake assemblies.

I got a question about the material for the drums. As far as I can tell they are pressed steel. The small drum is flush riveted to the larger drum.

I have heard that some drums were made of cast iron, but these are pressed steel.
