Howdy, I’m looking for a nice set of 1911-12 running boards, or simply a passenger/right side, if that’s all I can find
Thanks MTFCA

Since there are a difference in which side, it may be best to have a picture of what you need. I have a number of running boards but don't know all the differences and it seems that these have unique differences passenger vs driver side.

Here we go again. The passenger side can be either side, depending on the car. The left side can only be the left side, no confusion there.

Steve, don't take my word for it. An original 1913 Ford parts price list says so.
Once the Ford script was put across the running board there was no left and right.

Checked the MTFCA Encyclopedia for info & this is all they have. No reference to left or right but perhaps it has to do with holes for the carbide tank or running board brackets but Allen's part book notes a left & right.

The 1913 running boards had the Ford script stamped across the boards, so then there was no left or right. Previously, to keep the Ford script facing the onlooker, the different spacings for the front and rear running board mountings meant there was a left and right, according to the running board bracket holes.
However, later iterations of Canadian sourced cars had a pair of holes drilled on the inside flange of the boards to accommodate a bot on plate to clamp the splash panel in place at the front. This meant there was again a left and right running board, but it is easy enough for us to work around this small difference.
26-7 boards were stamped with the Ford logo on both sides, so these too could be fitted either side, so no left and right.

The running board mounting brackets and bolt holes are not symetrical from end to end for 1911 and 1912, There is a left and a right.
Unless you are in a part of the world where right hand drive cars are common, the acetylene generator mounting bolt holes are the give away it is a left side.
The acetylene generator always mounts on the driver's side, no matter what side of the road is driven upon.

If you put the right board on the left side, the Ford script is upside down on 11/12 boards.
