Model B Ford 4 cyl. crankshaft ... this shaft should be re-ground , BUT is in good serviceable condition ... i have noted the rod and main bearing sizes in the photo ... this is a NON-COUNTERWEIGHETED crankshaft , but counterweights can be added by welding ... a great way to add strength to the bottom end of a motor and can be re-ground to produce a stroked crankshaft by simply using Model A rods or custom made rods ... this crankshaft is HEAVY and NOT CHEAP ... can be picked up here in northern Colorado or Fed-Ex shipped at customers cost ...price is $450 PLUS shipping ... contact me thru the MTFCA site ... photos and dimensions for mains ... mainbearing diameter 1.991" thru 1.995" ... center main is worn the most ...should grind at minus .020" ...Gene French

here is picture of crankshaft ... same shape and lengths of model A crank , just bigger mains and rods ... the early B and BB were not counterweighted ... later they added the pinned inplace counterweight , then the integral counterweight ...hope this helps you to identify the crankshafts ...model A mains were 1.625 and rods were 1.500 ... model B mains were 2.000 and rods were 1.875 ...

Have added 5 B rod cores and a B carb. to the classifieds ... may find more B items as i dig deeper into storage ... i believe there are several B distributors and manifold sets somewhere in this pile of stuff!

There is so much you can do with a Model B crank, easy to balance with added metal, easy to weld on as the metal quality is far past others. The mains are a bit of a challenge in a T block and possible by means of spreading out the attachment bolts. And if you want to break the rules..., do an offset of the main bearings for the ultimate screamer! Honda motorcycles did this with their inline fours. Just Sayin'
