Restored U&J Carburetor & Intake

Post by Bruce Compton » Tue Jun 25, 2019 11:26 pm

Very nice restored U&J carb with the aluminum intake. New bushings in throttle shaft bore, new float using the original hardware, original brass float bowl (with a unique repair probably done many years ago), new choke return spring, re-machined adjustment needle, polished main needle, air valve re-set and spring loaded, new gaskets, and everything cleaned in my ultrasonic cleaner. Apparently the float bowls are usually not repairable, but this one only had two small cracks, and was saved by tightly wrapping copper wire around the circumference and soldering it in place. The bowl feels rock solid and does not leak. I don't have the gasket between the intake and carb but otherwise it should be ready to install and run. Asking $900.00 plus shipping .
