Making room for bigger and better toys! This is kinda T related, as it regularly dimples new wire wheel rims, and may have even made T parts when it was new. 20 Tons of fun to annoy your neighbors with! Nothing says “it’s Sunday” like the “ka-chunk ka-chunk ka-chunk” of a punch press on a calm morning. You can even tell em good nite too. First one here with a $1 bill and trailer can have it! Approximately 2k pounds and 6.5’ tall
I don’t actually expect anyone to want this thing. Just wanted to give it one last chance at life. Gonna be a shame to scrap it… but it can’t stay here!

Just read on Wikipedia that Ford bought bout 50 Ferrachute presses in 1910, and 500 more later on, this could have been one of them! A must have for the ultimate collection of Ford memorabilia!

In my working career I probably scrapped over 250 tons of the old "dog" clutch stamping presses most for not meeting current OSHA standards for press safety. The only advice I can offer to avoid liability issues is to take the motor off and sell it as a non operating press for parts. JMHO

Looks more like a power hammer for a forge shop.
Wish I had a dollar for every RoussellE OBI I have worked on. I could buy any T I wanted. Dan

The Ferrachute was working ok before I removed the motor and electrical. If someone wants the press, they can have it all. Just didn’t want to scrap the good 5hp motor and foot pedal. The catch pins are worn, but it’s too big for me to take apart to fix, and now it’s in the way.
The RoussellE 1A seen in the pic is replacing the Ferrachute. Will be plenty of press for what I do, and is a much more serviceable size. My neighbors will no doubt miss its Sunday morning serenades, but I have to make room for bigger and better toys!

Better hurry! Tomorrow morning the bigger and better toy will be here, and the punch press will be gone…
