I some how managed to acquire a set of Mel Miller roadster wood plans that had been copied many times, but still true size. Come with many instructions, tips, and how to pages.

Just trying to help keep the community going. I do plan to digitize them at some point and perhaps redo them in a CAD type of program.

Were any of the prints ever ACTUALLY copyrighted? Has anyone checked?

Here is an old thread about it. Original plans of his I have seen had a copyright on them. I have also seen copy’s with it blanked out.

Mel's daughter did make her presents known on the forum something like 20 years ago, nothing since. Do not recall everything, but she did have plans at the time to reprint the plans and sell them, but that went nowhere like the "other" plans that vanished.
Not a hundred precent on this, but if copywrite is on the plans, it is implied whether registered or not.

I also have a set of Mel Miller's plans I acquired from Leon parker in 2004. They are copyright 1970 renewed in 1987. For works created after 1978, the copyright life is 70 years after the death of the author.
