I ran this on my 1912 van for 25 years. The car got hard to crank start so I replaced it with Stan Howe rebuilt spare. It turned out that the hard starting was due to a shrunken cork float that was very loose on the hinge so the float level was all over th place.
It will need a new float. It may be better with a viton tip needle and seat, and a new throttle shaft, but neither of these effected its running.
$375 tracked postage to your door included. Payment by PayPal please.[attachment=2]20250705_160206.jpg[/
