Anyone know if someone is reproducing the Diode battery charger accessory powered by the magneto for non starter cars? I bought and installed one years ago on our1915 roadster and would like to install one on another T we have.

I believe both Fun Projects & Bittner produced such a beast - I might still have one of each - drop me a note !

If you can't find one you can make one. The circuit is fairly simple. You need a diode such as the 1N5042, P600M or equiv. , a bulb socket , and a automotive light bulb.
If the bulb burns out, it may mean that the diode shorted (had that happen once). The blown bulb protects the magneto. You never want to connect the battery and mag directly as that will discharge the magnets. I borrowed the drawing from Steve Jelf's Dauntless Geezer site.
I agree John Regan used to make a nice little circuit board that spanned the battery and mag terminals. You could make something workable by mounting the components to a piece of thin nylon sheet or other insulating material.
