KINGSTON 5 BALL CORRECT FOR 1911

Post by StanHowe » Fri Aug 16, 2019 2:42 pm

Here is a very nice Kingston 5 ball with the correct intake with the choke arm and butterfly that was added for easier starting. Correct for 1911 as far as I can tell.

It is totally original, I bought it out of an old shed where it had probably lain for 100 years or close to it, it was encrusted with old dirt, grease, whatever. Under all that was this fine example of Kingston's carburetor for the 1911 Ford.

The ball seats are not worn at all!!! The balls look good although I would probably replace them during a rebuild. (New ones are rounder and seal better) It has the original float arm, lock nut and needle although they are not in the pictures. The float had fallen apart.

Hard to find in this original condition. There are no signs of much use or wear, the bowl -- which usually has a hundred dings from pliers or pipe wrenches or whatever -- is like new. The caps are nearly perfect. The drain is missing the handle although the rest of it is there.

Restored I want $2250 for it, as is it is $1750 today. Unrestored, it goes in a box as soon as I get Paypal money, restored could be a couple months because I am still behind from last fall and winter even though I have taken in virtually no repair work since March.

New price! $1500 as it sets, $1900 restored. Paypal is good, checks are OK, no credit cards. In a box on Tuesday as is, restored probably a month out. I have 3 or 4 others to do, easier for me if I do them in batches. 406-949-3448 stanhowemt@aol.com
