For Sale- 1913 brass radiator

Post by Mike Lebsack-Iowa » Mon Jan 21, 2019 6:10 pm

I purchased a 13 Touring a couple of years ago that had a very nice, what I believe to be late 70’s Brassworks radiator on it. The car was toured in the Michigan area up till about 1978 then stored. The radiator has no dings or cracks in the brass but is natural patina. It has the Ford placard as shown and I will leave that on it. Please note that one of the nuts for the placard has fallen off, not hard to replace. Please note the soldered on tag but it does not have a serial number stamped on it but buyer could if they want. The inlet and outlet are bronze so no rusted cast iron. On the inner face you can see where a fan just very lightly touched the fins. The fins are not hurt in any way and look like the black was just lightly touched off. I forgot to check to see if it is flat tube or round but I think it is round tube. It cools perfectly on hot days, no problem. The car had antifreeze in it when I bought it. So why did I replace it? I had an equally nice, still in the box, flat tube, very shines, older brassworks radiator that I did not have the remove patina from. Price is $800. I will deliver if prepaid to Marietta or Chickasha or you can pick it up in Iowa as I would rather not ship this nice piece. Thanks, Mike

Update: this radiator is a round tube radiator with 5 rows of tubes. It definitely cooled the 13 touring it came with, even on hot summer days in Iowa. It has always had antifreeze in it and no leaks. Larry, I have PM’d you with my contact information. Thanks, Mike
