WTB 17-25 runabout body

Post by David Mazza » Sat Aug 31, 2019 10:06 pm

I have a very nice running chassis. I’ve been selling off all of my previous project to focus on putting together a 17-25 runabout. I am in need of a body for this project. I do prefer the early low radiator years but will be very happy with whatever is available in excellent or very good condition. I plan to build the rest of the car to suit the year of the body. I am located in western Massachusetts and would like to find something as near to me as possible. Thank you everyone for any help. I have been blessed to be able to so easily transition my project thanks to everyone on this site purchasing the items I’ve put up for sale recently!

I have an '18 cutoff touring in original - rusty - condition. The engine turns over, but that's about all. It will need rewooding and all. I know it's not exactly what you're looking for, but................
Also, it has a good Indiana title.

Contact Model T Haven. They have remains of bodies from time to time. Sometimes mostly complete unrestored cars.

I do have the big guys looking. I would consider buying panels and building body myself. I would be interested in panels that are complete and in very good condition. I have a dream of bolting a body to my chassis and driving into the sunshine. But a project body would still get me what I need! If you have a project 17-25 runabout body you haven’t done anything with for a while I’m prepared for immediate purchase! Thanks guys!

Some on the forum might remember the guys name who built up T Roadster bodies and bring them to sell at Chickasha. He had some really nice ones and he had one there 3 years ago when I was last there. Didn’t go last year or two. He was an older guy who did really nice work and would usually sell by the 2nd day. The the one he had when I last there was a 20 as I recall.

Thanks Bob, I have this image in my mind. The proud, freedom loving model t owner! Plus I think that special roadster is probably more than I’d be able to spend. I do have a good budget but the blue roadster should go to someone knowledgeable in how special it really is!

Call Charley Shaver he might still have parts, he built Vernon and Lucille for me so all I had to do was the outer body work and paint ,he does not do body`s but he might still have parts. 23&15 roadsters. MEL.
