So sorry to hear that your eyesight hasn't improved, Forrest. :(

Thanks for letting us know about your auction. Isn't that the same week as Hershey? Hopefully that won't cut into the turnout at your auction.

Sorry to hear that Forrest. I was the guy that bought the 1914 rear end shell from you and picked it up from your daughter in St. Louis. Me and my wife had a good time talking to her. Sounds like me and my wife need to take a road trip to your auction.

Hello Forrest: By any way could post a list of the parts? I looking for parts for the Fords I have that are from 1913 up to 1926. I need some parts
but need what is to be Auctioned be for I can make the trip as I am NOT buyer and seller for personal gains, as some persons on this forum do to exploit the "poor" guy just trying to find parts to get his car dependable and safe to drive as daily driver or take to shows/meets so the public can see an old car and enjoy them ,not a trialor queen that has "JUST LOOK AT 10ft NO TOUCH DO NOT ASK FOR A RIDE" .Mine you can touch,sit in ,honk horn ,ride and even drive if you care to try! My son and I maintain these T Models for the purpose of getting young people envloved and instersted in our old car hobby.---Sorry for the rant but just want to keep my cars usable with out having to complete with the "MONEY MAKERS" that use this forum for their gain {The Wolf In Sheep's clothings}
---
----THANK YOU---Have A Good Day &Take Care---
---------POPS-----

Pops will be glad I decided I won't be going to the auction so prices will be cheaper and I won't be bidding on any Carburetors ... Either at this auction or when he has one some day.
On the other hand, I could send my address if he wants to give me a free Ruckstell or a good fan setup for my 27 coupe. =)

I certainly don’t understand anybody's viewpoint that the people who buy stuff at auctions to resale are at all driving prices up for hobbyists. If you buy used parts for resale, you have to buy at much less than you sell at in order to cover expenses and have any money left over. Therefore, a re-seller is only going to bid far less than an item is actually worth. Therefore, If you out bid a re-seller, you generally got the item for much less than retail.

It’s bidding against the other hobbyists that aren’t really tuned into values that can get expensive. I’ve seen lots of used stuff sold at auctions that would be much cheaper from Lang’s, Bob’s, Chaffin’s, or many of the re-sellers I know!

Adam has seen the elephant!!! He is enlightened!!! I've seen Ruckstells go for nearly as much as a new one from Chaffins, $300 boxes of old coils, etc.
In 37 years and 426 auctions I have seen people that needed to be told to quit bidding but that is not the business I'm in. I work for the seller. We always tell them at the beginning of the auction that I am the most honest auctioneer in the world, that I have been in business for so long that I know what everything is and what it's worth and that I WILL NOT let them pay too much. Hasn't happened yet but it could some day.

It is also true that the same people who complain about prices being too high at an auction they attended will want absolute top dollar when they have an auction. If they think you left a dollar on the table or missed a bid there will be hell to pay later.

It's pretty much a no win business a lot of the time. But I still love it. I'm now the second oldest actively working auctioneer in Montana.

Forrest, with Hershey overlapping your auction date it would be in your interest to post a list of what you have prepared so far in order to generate interest in your auction. You can add additional pages as they become available.

I can't make a list to much to move all kinds of Model T stuff. Been going to swap meets for years.
Auctioneer is McAfee Auction.com
at Kahoka Mo hw has posted pictures. It is not just a Model T auction. Complete sale as I am down sizing and moving 200 Miles
south of here. Thank you
