For Sale: 2 Side Lamp brackets - Brass *sold*

Post by AdminJeff » Sat Sep 21, 2019 1:09 pm

Side lamp brackets, solid brass. They have a light coat of primer on them but could be easily polished to look like the Lang's pic.

For use on wooden bodies and Ton Trucks with wooden post on sides of windshield.
The 1915 and later oil lamps mount onto these.

$40 shipped anywhere in the USA.

That style bracket was also used on center-door sedans before the starter was added for 1919. Information on that is scarce, but when I restored my '16 over 25 years ago, we did find just enough to confirm that. Also, about five to seven years ago, there was a closeup era photo shared on this forum of an early center-door that clearly showed these brackets behind the oil side-lamps.The brackets were made to mount either vertically or horizontally and hold the lamps square (note the four dimples to cradle the two rivets on the back of the lamp). Center-door sedans had the brackets mount on the belt-rail molding and hold the lamp below. After-market bodied trucks sometimes used these brackets (there were a couple other style brackets also used for trucks). On those, the lamps may be used either horizontal or vertical.
