WTB Hogshead Spacer for Model "A" crank conversion

Post by henryford2 » Tue Nov 05, 2019 6:42 am

Looking for the spacer that's used when the block is moved forward on the block when a Model A or B crank is used. I bought the block (it uses a Model B crank) from Andy Mounce, it was originally built by Orville Enyeart. The engine uses connecting rods from an air compressor or refrigeration compressor? The crank has been ground offset with high compression Egge pistons (.100 over), the piston pin is in the normal spot. I vaguely remember seeing them in vendor's catalogs in the past. The photo is from a Frank Harris engine. Thanks, Joe

Found one, just got a copy of Dan McEachern's price list in the mail yesterday, and there it is on page 6!

That engine was a real barn burner. I rode in Andy's white T Touring many times out on the interstate. Andy would pull up along side someone, honk/wave and then drive away from them just laughing

I believe this to be the same engine. At one time it had a C6 transmission attached to it. Thanks
