FS Top Bows ..parcel sets NEW PRICE

Post by GG Gregory » Sun Dec 01, 2019 3:19 pm

I have 6 parcel sets of Top Bows that have never been used. Not sure what years they fit...26-27 Touring ?..you be the judge. They came from a 70 yr collection of T parts..some NOS parts. On 5 parcel sets there is some sort of man made fiber wood in one side and the other has real wood "see photos" One set has man made fiber wood on both bows. This of course will need to be changed. There is no rust out, only surface rust and will clean up nicely. Price is $75 + shipping per parcel set "2 bows". Email garygregory1@aol.com

The ones with the "curved" attaching point are '26 - '27.

It would be helpful if you took the pictures with them not in grass so you could really see them

I could use some for a 26 Touring but I have no idea how to identify them.

Mikey1968 these may be for a 26-27 Touring according to the post above. With a little research we may figure them out.

Perhaps we will. My car has a full set on it now but with some bent and one even broken and taped together somehow. Bought it like that and haven't tried to figure out how it's really repaired. Looks like my bows/irons have many rivets replaced with bolts. Got the car last year and efforts were to get it running and drivable. Bought it with top up and won't fold it back for now. Mine feels like the wood for the bow over the windshield is missing or very rotten. Anyway, question is if I should repair or replace what I have? It looks like you only have a partial set of bows and not an entire set, correct? If so, once the 1926s are identified, I would need to see if what you have is what is damaged on mine. I'm very tempted to drop money on an entire new top and bows/irons but that's pretty expensive!

I just checked the old bows on my 27 Roadster and they have the bend at the end that attaches to the car just as the parcel sets do..so I'd think these are 26-27. I had to piece together my bows to get a full set because as you said, they are expensive ! I have a full set of touring bows but I'll need to dig them out to see if they're 26-27.

Yes they are..I'm just saying the curved end that attaches to the car look the same. I'll message you this weekend when I get those other bows out of storage.
