1915-16 Runabout Body Sold pending payment
I have a '15-16 Runabout body for sale. Someone began a restoration, with new wood and interior. The wood appears to be a store-bought kit, not something homemade. The interior is likewise a nice kit, but its installation will need some tweaking to be the way you'll want it. The lower edges of the body have had some patches welded in and will need some work to be nice. The turtle, windshield, hood, and firewall are included. The turtle is missing its sheet metal front panel, but is otherwise a very nice one. It is the correct one for a '15-16, with the rounded handles. The body has what appears to be a new seat riser. The windshield has a '15-16 lower half, with a '17-22 top half and hinges. I have '15-16 hinges if you need them but don't have the correct top half frame (the screw holes are in different places than the '15-16 ones). The windshield has had the plate glass replaced with clear safety glass, with its original brass bead trim pieces. The rear portion of the body has the new wood floor in it and the metal sill covers. The turtle is not currently attached to the body.
You may pick this up in Fayetteville, Arkansas, which is in the NW corner of the state, or I can deliver it to Chickasha in March if it is prepaid. The price is $2,500. Contact me at 479-790-4229 or waterwalk999@gmail.com. Thanks.

Re: 1915-16 Runabout Body For Sale
I am now including the top which I got with the body. It appears that someone used Touring Car top irons and bows for the top, since it extends too far forward in the front. It can be cut down to fit, of course, or maybe you could find the proper front irons and bow for it. There is plenty of top fabric to be able to refit it by cutting it down. The plastic back windows are broken, so they will need to be redone. It really should have the roll-up center section redone to have a proper '15 shaped rear window anyway.
Whoever started restoring this car apparently didn't have a lot of skills or knowledge about what he was doing here. The workmanship (or lack of it) is about as shoddy as I've seen. But the bones of a good car are here, so someone who is willing to invest some time in it can build a nice car from this.

Mike,
I am watching this. I am trying to think of the offer I could give you (not seriously thought). I have the engine for it, I can get the fenders:) Too bad we are not next door neighbors:)
