SOLD for sale very nice Reverse Transmision Drum posibly NOS
I have for sale a very very nice reverse transmission drum. Im almost positive it is a NOS drum. Ive been going thru a lot of my leftover estate buy out parts. This is the stuff that got pushed to the back when the next big pile came in. I did not even know I had it. From looking at it very closely it appears to still have the original machining tool marks on the gears. The drum surface is very thick and also as good as I have ever seen. Looks new to my eye. I measured the bushing ID to the best of my ability and I come up with an ID of 2.303. I believe new from Ford is 2.302. I could be off the .001 with my measurements. The only blemish I see is a small rust pit on the machined surface where the rivets are located I will show a picture of it. It will not affect the use at all. More than likely it is just from sitting on the shelf for years.
I glass beaded the drum, and I also magnafluxed it checking for cracks. I see no problems at all. Then I washed the drum in solvent to remove any remaining glass beads. It is basically ready to install.
I will post a lot of photos so a person can make their own decisions as to it being NOS or not. I believe it is but that is just my own personal opinion. It is up to the buyer to decide for themselves. Even if it is not NOS it is the best original drum I have ever seen.
I will take 275.00 for the drum plus 14.35 shipping in the continental US and actual cost for International.
please look at the pics and call or e-mail any questions you may have.
Do not contact me thru the forum message system. That is a very good way to miss out on a purchase. Contact me at the phone number or e-mail address in the last photo. It is first come first served. I try my best to sell to the first interested party, but if you take days to answer my e-mails about shipping info, I may move on to the next person.

Re: for sale very nice Reverse Transmision Drum posibly NOS
I forgot to say that when I glass beaded the drum, I protected the bushing with protective covers. The bushing was not glass beaded.
A couple years ago I had Mike Bender rebuild my 27 tour cars engine. I tore down 12 transmissions looking for a good used drum. Mike also looked for a good used drum. We finally gave up and I bought a new drum riveted to my old gear. I have more in my new drum old gear than Im asking for this drum/gear. Sure wish I had found it back then
