Yesterday, I replied to a private message from another forum member.

After I pressed "submit," the reply has been sitting "Outbox" folder for the last 12 hours instead of the "Sent messages" folder.

How do I know if the message has been actually sent to the intended party?

It has been put in the out box and is waiting for the recipient to open and read it. Once it is opened and read, it will be marked sent. If you had that message open and clicked reply, then that is who it was sent to. Sent messages have been opened and read, are then saved to that file.

The message is now in the "sent" file so the recipient has opened and read it.
