Re: Model T Parts For Sale
Forgot to add these - $25 a pair includes Priority Mail in the U.S. - drop me a note through here, please. I'll measure again but I believe the wider one is 1" & the other was about 3/4". They both have an "anchor" imprinted on them.

Re: Model T Parts For Sale
My apologies Wayne - indeed those are the '15-'16 - I posted the wrong info & price ! The corrected price is $75 for the pair.
I do have 3 of one side of the unequal length hinges !

Re: Model T Parts For Sale
No worries Steve T. I spent some time restoring a really rough pair of '15/'16 hinges, and got to know the several little details of them. Nearly all the visible pieces are different than the later ones.
"Equal length" is a bit of a misnomer, as the "front-to-back" offset of the hinges causes a bit on inequality. The "up-to-down" of the hinges is roughly equal on the earlier ones, and results in the glass edges being nearly lined up when folded. The other part of that equation is that the bolt holes on the upper frame are also different from the later upper frames. On the later windshields, when all proper pieces are used, the folded windshield holds the upper frame about an inch and a half higher than the early windshield does, giving driver and passenger just a bit more protection.
The '14 style hinge is very similar to the '15/'16, except that the upper and lower frames line up straight if positioned straight out (no offset). The detent dimples for the '14 are different than the '15/'16 also.
Nice looking pair of hinges! However, I don't need another pair.

Re: Model T Parts For Sale
Appreciate your consideration !
I'm familiar with '14 hinges as I have a '14 Touring also.

Re: Model T Parts For Sale
All the small upholstery caps are spoken for - have a pair of the large ones left & the w.s. strap hooks - I believe those are used with the "webbing" straps for '15 & later - not the leather straps.
Thanks MTFCA !
