Re: Winfield S & SR carburetor parts **NEW**
Have been continuing toward my goal of building complete S-B downdrafts from scratch. So far the choke horn, V band clamp, and float bowl are done. The float bowl cover and float ball for both S and SR carbs are next.

I’m a bit biased... so I will hold my comments . But I will say that rather than arguing over which factory produced carburetor worked best, the Winfield S/SR and similar designed carbs were normal equipment at Indy throughout the 30’sJohn bevardos wrote: ↑Fri Dec 04, 2020 12:50 pmHow well do these perform . I’m still workin toward complete carbs, and so have straight and elbow choke horns, V band clamps, choke brackets, and now fuel inlet blocks in stock. Will also have S and SR float balls, and modern needle and seat float bowl covers available soon...

Re: Winfield S & SR carburetor parts **NEW**
When you get it PLEASE let us know, I have a B sized BB body that is perfect but for the manifold flange on top that has a radial crack 60% around it...it makes me sick, as I want so bad to rin this carb, but I know, lest I build a brace to hold it up, it will fail...
What you are doing is a true GIFT to the hobby... I just wanted to say that... along with our heartfelt thanks!!!

Re: Winfield S & SR carburetor parts **NEW**
Continuing to make progress, now have new float bowl covers complete with ball detents, new float levers, and Viton tipped float needles
And here’s a pic of progress so far, still have some cosmetic work to do to the exterior of the throttle barrel, but otherwise is internally finished
