LOTS of T Bucket Parts
Hi There,
I am definitely a stranger to the world of model T's. I wanted to ask the community if there is real value to these parts I found in my shed...
One old timer said these go to a "T bucket". Let me know if you think these parts are worthwhile.
Thanks,
Beefey

Re: LOTS of T Bucket Parts
Well, the 'old timer' was right about some of it being T. Not sure about the bucket part, though. I see a 26-27 radiator grill shell and possibly the radiator that came with it. The radiaor may be good for a recore job, but its hard to tell. The radiator shell, if not bent up or cracked, is worth something, regardless of whether it was originally painted or nickle plated. I think I see a pair of 26-27 front fenders, which if in repairable condition are worth something. The 26-27 rear fenders are off of any body style EXCEPT a coupe, roadster, or pickup. and if in repairable shape are worth something. All the rubber tires and a lot of other stuff is a pain to have to get rid off.

The fifth pic down looks like a good flathead ford aluminum bell housing.

Re: LOTS of T Bucket Parts
If someone would pick up everything there with no further work on your part, and also takes all the old tires, a price tag of “free” could be pretty fair. If you dispose of the old tires, $50-$100 for the pile might be a fair price. There could be several hundred dollars worth of parts there if “properly” sold, but that means cleaning, identifying, photographing, and advertising each individual item. Then emails & phone calls back & forth with each interested individual. Possibly some additional photos being taken & emailed, packing & figuring shipping for each individual item (where occasionally a buyer will drop out because shipping was more than they thought). AND it could be quite some time before most everything is sold (some things won’t sell). Not being negative, just sharing the “usual” experience of selling fairly common used parts.

What about the the red seats, looks like one has a riser. Tractor tire can go to a fit center - the squat & flip exercise

Well the old saying “one man’s junk is another man’s treasure “ certainly applies to your pile. I see mostly Model A Ford parts but California is to far to ship cost wise. You might want to also try a “Craig’s List” or local for sale or trade ad. The metal nesting boxes are pretty cool too! And you have lots of Model T and A folks close enough to come and get parts . Best of luck and Happy Thanksgiving.

Re: LOTS of T Bucket Parts
That's interesting that some are model A. Our local mosquito control takes the tires for free. Are the skinny T type tires worth money and/or hard to find?

Re: LOTS of T Bucket Parts
At a large swap meet, old 21” tires that are soft & pliable, look okay and still have tread might fetch $20 each. 19”s might go for that too. Old Clincher style tires generally have a lot of issues that straight sided tires don’t have and their quality is very subjective (most used ones are no good). 20” truck tires in the 6.00-20” to 7.50-20” size can be used on TT & AA trucks.

Re: LOTS of T Bucket Parts
Does the window frame iron look appealing or is that fairly worthless?
So far what I'm hearing is that the body tin is worth something and the radiator/radiator tin but the rest is not worth much... Is that right?

Re: LOTS of T Bucket Parts
I took some snapshots and labeled some items for reference. Let out fenders etc that doesn't mean they have no value just tried to spot those that may be of interest to someone. You can look on eBay for some price ranges but MTFCA prices are lower because no eBay selling commissions & realistic values. Like any part - condition, buyer need & seller desires determine the price. I encourage others to help id and comment
1. 1926 Radiator shell broken - useless?
2. Need you to take lay out the contents
3. '14-'25 rear radius rod- if in good condition (no swelling, good threads) then good value!
4. Not sure if this is a T or A but the headlight bar & headlight pots have value
5. Radiator shell Model A? - need to see it all - rat-rod use
6. Radiator - parts?
7. Seat?
8. Seats - for hot rod?
9. need to see all steel & wood wheels
10. Radiator shell - need close up but should have value
11. same as #9
12. window frames if no rust through have value. Items under it may have value
13. running board luggage rack - MTFCA folks likely have several, but sell on eBay - very common
14. Hand Brake/Control Arm very good value depending on condition. Also rods under it may have value need close up
15. Appears to be spare tire carrier
16. Coil Box has value - the top is worth more than the box

Re: LOTS of T Bucket Parts
5 and 6 look to be 30/31 Model A and some of the fenders are also A
Give an old car guy a barn and he won't throw anything away.
