WTB AC Brake Linkage Set

Post by dr1960 » Tue Feb 23, 2021 8:07 am

I have a set of AC brakes on order from Larry Sidmore. At this time, Rich is not producing the rod linkage sets. I would prefer to have the rod linkage rather than the cable setup, but I am looking for options until Rich is back producing his product. Can anyone steer me to a solution? 1915 Model T Roadster.

Thanks,

David

Local machine shop? But I suppose you would obviously need proper dimensions and lengths. Be nice to find someone with a similar setup that you could use to clone with.

Maybe it's an optical delusion, but the second pic almost looks like the turnbuckle and hook may be in the way of the floorboards?
Possibly even where it clamps onto the brake pedal? Think I like my Rockies better. Never had any reverse braking issues either like so many people say.

Still looking for someone that might have a set of the Rich Baughman linkage for AC brakes for sale. Or something similar with the rod setup.

This is my picture from the set made by Richard I posted last year . Working really well on my 1911 touring. They are not on the way of the floorboards. I recommend them without any hesitation. Richard is a very nice guy and he made high quality linkage

Thanks for the reply. Rich is not manufacturing them at this time and I am told it may be a while before he does. Was hoping to find someone that had a set they wanted to sell.

Still looking for the AC brake linkage setup. Just missed out on a set at Chickasha. Dang. Got my brakes last week from Larry Sidmore and anxious to put them on display on my car.
