Spindle Bushings - to paint or not to paint
Should the visible outside edge of the spindle bushings be left natural, or were they painted black after assembly? In other words, when all is said and done, should you see brass-colored rings or should you see all black?

Probably painted black after assembly at the factory. I like the unpainted look myself tho.

Let the Bronze show. That way it’s easy to see at a glance if the bushings have adaquet oil. Just my opinion.

According to the mtfca encyclopedia, under the heading of paint, the front axle was first assembled then was painted, therefore, the bushings would be painted, as would nuts and cotterpins.
