I had to giggle. Someone at ebay thinks a Ford 2000-3000 alloy front engine cover is similar!!!!!

I already had an original Ford wood battery case and wanted to build a non-working replica of an original Ford battery. Over the years, I was slowly gathering the piece parts, but found it very difficult. On a whim, I contacted Antique Auto Battery in Youngstown, Ohio to see if they would sell me reproductions of the parts I needed. They agreed, and went above and beyond by sending me the entire top section of a reproduction battery as a unit for $50.00. Here is a picture of the completed non-working display battery after I built a simple wood support structure to support the top in the case, then bedded in the top with pourable roofing sealant. I think it turned out very nice! :)
