Call Snyder's Antique Auto parts, ask for the cutout made by Nu- Rex, negative ground with a script on the cover, for the standard 6 volt negative ground battery....... 330-549-3313. Ohio.

Nothing wrong with t he Nu_Rex diode cutout other then their claim that you can use it to get 20amps out of your Model T generator. It is true, but it will kill you generator. Many discussions caution setting the 3rd brush to output more than 10amps and most recommend 5amps.
The past is a great place and I don't want to erase it or to regret it, but I don't want to be its prisoner either.

Nu-Rex also sells more accurate amp meters than what we have been using in the past.

I just had my afternoon coffee and I think this is the Ammeter site you had in mind: www.westach.com/ammeters
Everything works in theory.
Reality is how you determine if something works or not.

Richard, you must have read my mind. That's the exact company I was going to call for a quality 20- 0 - 20 amp meter.
