Re: Old photo
Great photograph.
Looks like a real Ford Delivery Car. Maybe one of the folks can comment further on that.
It does have a Prest-O-Lite tank for the headlights which appear to be E&J. The sidelights are John Brown 100's and the front fenders appear to be 1913 style. Looks like the horn is missing so this one has been around the bakery for a while!
Love that colorization.

Re: Old photo
Lots to like here. The charming Delivery, the serious all-business expressions and the delightful architecture. Those inviting doorways and all the windows of that era are just fine. All that and electricity too! I can almost here the creaking floors and squeaky door hinges.
Such a nice photo.
Thanks
Rich

Re: Old photo
Great picture. What I find amusing is that the shop next door is a sign shop but the bakery just has an awing with little letters on it.

Re: Old photo
Cool pics guys! I used to not care for those delivery wagons...but now I wouldn't mind one. Just won't fit in the house garage but plenty of room in my barn with a tall overhead door.

Re: Old photo
There were two of those in Lomita, owned by a bakery. One was a real '12 and the other was a carryover, with 1913 stuff on it. I wonder how far into 1913 Ford actually produced them?

Re: Old photo
Larry,
Your question: I wonder how far into 1913 Ford actually produced them?
Apparently for USA production they were discontinued on or a little before Dec 3, 1912
Additional details:
ref: http://www.mtfca.com/encyclo/doc12.htm where it has:
JUN 14, 1912 Acc. 509, Letter, Ford Archives
Production sold out (except for 1,000 Delivery Wagons) until September 1. No orders accepted except for Delivery Wagons.
SEP 28, 1912 Acc. 509, Letter, Ford Archives
Prices (1913 models?): Touring, $600. Torpedo, $525. Delivery Wagon, $625. Town Car, $800.
DEC 3. 1012 Acc. 509, Letter, Ford Archives
Delivery Wagons sold out and discontinued.
And from page 462 of Bruce's book under Model T Ford Production he has 513 Delivery cars produced in Fiscal Year 1913 (which started on Oct 1, 1912 and ran to Sep 30, 1913.
Note production does NOT equal the month and day the car was sold. From Bruce's online encyclopedia at: http://www.mtfca.com/encyclo/fdsales.htm (and probably in his CD version also) Bruce has:
Note the production was listed for Fiscal Year "BUT" the sales is listed by Calendar Year.
Respectfully submitted,

Re: Old photo
David, two questions:
1) Is that a brick paving job on the road?
2) Are you the original owner of this delivery car?
